Nota d'uso
In inglese le giacche o i maglioni fatti di pile sono chiamati “fleece”, non “pile”. “Pile” in inglese significa soltanto “mucchio”, “pila”: Farà freddo, mi porto un pile, it will be cold, I'm bringing my fleece (non It will be cold, I'm bringing my pile). Una coperta di pile in inglese viene chiamata semplicemente “blanket”.
